Life for me as I knew it had changed forever as soon as I took the first sip from my cappucino from Industry Beans in Fitzroy, Melbourne. I had been on a never ending quest to find the quintessential cup of coffee after I had stumbled upon what I believed was coffee made from the tears of gods in a trek deep within the mountains years ago. I wanted to hold onto the taste for as long as I could, to savour every last drop of what was one of the best cups of coffee I had ever experienced in Australia. I felt like I had just shaken the hand of Buzz Aldrin and did not want to wash it, touch anything or touch anyone else for as long as was humanly possible.

The Coffee Garden dessert was the perfect accompaniment to this pure heavenly elixir. The garden consisted of a coffee custard pudding, coffee caviar, cold drip gel, chocolate soil, pistachio sponge and tuille. It was the first and last meal I would have for the day. I didn't want to contaminate any of the amazing flavours I had just experienced with anything else Melbourne would have to offer me. If I could, I would move to Fitzroy just so I could be blessed to say that Industry Beans was my local where I go and read the Sunday paper on a weekly basis and sip what I believe is the epitome of coffee in Australia.
